Charlie Wallin has lived his entire life in WNC, Born and raised in Madison County and moved to Boone and Watauga County to attend App State 35 years ago majoring in Political Science and he never left. He works at App State in Campus Dining for now 27 years. Charlie has a beautiful wife and daughter, and they are all active Democrats. They have even been honored as the Family of the Year by the party.
Charlie has been active in politics for 25 years serving as Watauga County 1st Vice Chair, 5th District Chair for 10 years, original Plan of Organization Committee, Council of Review for 8 years, Credential and Appeals, State Executive Committee, State Executive Council and numerous other state, county and district committees. He was a two term Watauga County Commissioner ousted due to a targeted State special bill to gerrymander our Commission. He has also been the App State College Dems advisor for 20 years. Charlie Wallin has worked on many campaigns and has run three times personally.
